Dell, the leading brand name in computers has unveiled its first Smartphone, Venue Pro. The Dell Venue Pro brings the preeminent experience for managing the busy life today and the communiqué with its vibrant display and an inbuilt keyboard. One can manage calendars, access emails, and play live games in Xbox with this lovely mobile phone from Dell.
It is a Windows 7 mobile phone. This android based mobile phone is launched in collaboration with Aircel. Indian market now has 5 Dell mobile phones- Venue Pro, Dell Venue, Dell XCD35, Dell XCD28, and Dell Streak.
Venue Pro is designed in a slider form and has 4.1 inches wide AMOLED display. The vertical slide-out feature made it broader than the Venue and this is what makes the Venue Pro, well, so pro. Its design resembles the Blackberry Torch. The rounded chrome sides of the phone give the feel of an iPhone 3G/S. The phone in all has a lovely, nice and a grippy body.
It has the fantastic curved Gorilla glass technology, which makes it different from the other Smartphone available in the market. The phone has a QWERTY keypad, which usually net savvy people prefer to have. Venue Pro is practically same as the Android 2.2 Froyo, the specifications are almost similar in both. Dell Venue Pro in India would be available just for Rs. 34,990.
Dell Venue Pro houses Adreno 200 GPU for graphics and 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. This wonderful mobile phone contains 512 MB RAM and the extended memory of 8GB. The phone actually doesn’t have the memory card slot in it. Dell Venue Pro has a 5 Megapixel camera which gives wonderful clicks and the camera also has autofocus and LED flash. You can also record the high definition video of 720p with this window mobile phone. The phone camera has geo-tagging and face detection features as well.
Other standard features of this Window mobile include micro USB support, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). The price of the phone seems to a bit high but the features it holds make it worth it. However, people when compare it with the HTC HD7, it seems to be pricey. HTC HD7 is available at Rs. 28,499. Let’s wait for some time, may be the price drop down if some more Window 7 mobile phones get launched by the other companies.
